I'm still in shock and feel so sad. Heidi was such a great friend. Even though we have been separated by many miles for many years, I always felt close. We were lucky enough to reconnect recently and I'm happy for that. I will always remember her smiling and laughing and being up for anything - camping in the rain, surfing until we couldn't feel our fingers, mountain biking with the girls on the weekend and comparing our bruises and scrapes on Monday at work. I loved to hear her stories about her travels, about the children in Nepal and those crazy monkeys in Asia. I always thought we would have time one day, to sit down and chat, to pick up where we left off.

Dear Pete and Heidi's family, I worked with Heidi years ago and we became friends. I am so sorry we lost touch over the years and I am so saddened by the news. I send to you my sincerest condolences. She will be missed. She had such a great smile and I especially loved her laugh, it was contagious. I will remember the wonderful person Heidi was. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Heidi. We knew each other many years ago and I remember her as such a warm happy person with big blue eyes and a wonderful smile. I'm so sorry for your loss Peter and Heidi's family.

My heart has been heavy since I heard the news. To the Plato Family and Pete, my condolences. She will always be a bright light, i will always remember her beautiful bright smile and her caring nature.
