May 28, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta
Heinz Willner, beloved husband of Doreen Willner of Airdrie, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 73 years. Heinz enjoyed travel, hiking, camping, photography and exploring the mountains. Heinz is survived by his devoted wife Doreen; his siblings, Horst (Traudel) Willner and Brigitte (Burckhard) Meyn; many nieces and nephews in Germany; his first wife Edith Willner; and his best friend and Dalmatian Stormy. He was predeceased by his siblings, Ernst Willner and Elfride Willner. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive) on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank the staff at Tom Baker Cancer Centre Day Care Unit, Dr. Sacha Lubichuk, Dr. Donald Buie and the staff of Rosedale Hospice who gave Heinz much comfort and care in the past few weeks. In living memory of Heinz Willner, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
