Goodbye Sweet Aunt Helen...I love you and will always remember your smile and your laughter. I have your caramel pie recipe and will think of you each time I make it. Go with God and watch over all of us kids. You know we need it.
Love you always,
Dawn Stevenson

My father would always speak of his travels out to see Helen and Roma and the ladies. He would ride endless miles on his motorcycle to come visit them, and yes, the cooking had something to do with it! But is was most certainly the love, also. Although I did not get a chance to spend much time with Helen, I know she was a woman of great kindness, strength and character. We send your family love and peace in this difficult time of loss. -Sonny's family

When I think of Helen, I think of her caramel pies. I loved her caramel pies. They were always a hit at the Martin-Stevenson Family reunions. When I was little, Helen would show me where she put them and Mom would let me get a piece before I had finished my meal. Helen gave Mom the recipe and I have it to this day. Those caramel pies made with such love will always be part of my memories of Helen. -Bill Martin

She was a lovely lady, always greeted me with a smile, never appeared to be burdened in taking care of Roma for seven years.
My prayers are that you are comforted during this time of grief.
