Helen D. "Dee" Bishop

Bishop, Helen D. "Dee" Bay City, Michigan Bishop, Helen "Dee", 71, of Bay City, Michigan passed peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born April 5, 1951 in Clifton Springs, New York to parents, John de Doelder and Dorothy Catherine Cook. Helen was a retired teacher of the Pinconning School System, after having taught for 40 years. She was also the past president of the Bay County Humane Society, BARSP membership committee and Sunrise Family Credit Union Supervisory Committee. She was involved in many philanthropic endeavors and loved to travel. Left to cherish her memory is beloved daughter, Meredith Bishop, and step-children, William Bishop, Jessica Bishop, Martin Bishop and Steven Bishop; several grandchildren; brothers, Robert de Doelder and Ronald de Doelder, as well as several cousins and her companion, Charlie Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation in Helen's name to the Bay County Humane Society. A Time of Sharing will take place on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive visitors on Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the Time of Sharing.
