Pat, Mike, Jen, and families,
Helen was such a special friend and neighbour. She was like a grandmother to Heather and James, and since their grandmothers lived some distance away, she filled that role nicely. They both thought the world of her. I missed Helen so much when she left the street. When she was next door, hardly a day went by without a visit or a chat. She was a great lady and a great neighbor. She will be fondly remembered.

Dear Pat, Jenny, Mike and families,
Mom called to tell me the other night that Helen had passed away. I wanted to express my deepest condolences to your family and to let you know what a special person Helen was and how much she meant to me. Helen was one of those wonderful women in my life that I hold in the highest regard. She was fiesty and never afraid to speak her mind. She was kind and caring and always thought of us. She was an animal lover and had a special place in her heart for furry creatures (especially of the canine variety). She had a spunky spirit which I loved and won't forget. She will be missed. I wish I loved closer, so I could be in attendance on Friday to say my goodbyes; however, as her light faded from her many years ago, I had already made my peace with her passing and have a special place in my heart for her always. I will be thinking of you all on Friday.
