Helen Elaine Browne (Sandy)

May 8, 1947 - December 15, 2024

Helen Elaine Browne, born on May 8, 1947, in Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, in Boulder, Colorado, at the age of 77, after a courageous 16-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Paul Browne. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Jennifer Findley and Michael Browne, and a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren: Sara Findley, Maxwell Browne, Samuel Findley, Sean Findley, and Benjamin Findley. Helen's boundless love for her family was evident in the joy she found in supporting and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is also survived by her three adoring sisters: Diana Goldman, Janet Gooch, and Marcia Scott. Despite living in different states, the four sisters maintained a close bond through daily Zoom calls that continued until Helen's final days. Their connection brought her immense strength and joy throughout her life.

Helen had a passion for travel and a special love for Italy and the Italian language. Her adventures enriched her life with unforgettable experiences and brought her great happiness. Known for her warmth and grace, Helen cultivated many lasting friendships over the years.

A graduate of CU Boulder, Helen enjoyed a successful career as both a public and corporate accountant. She generously volunteered her expertise to organizations such as Boulder Mental Health Partners, Attention Homes, and St. Vrain Valley School District. After Parkinson's Disease claimed her husband Paul, Helen continued as an active member of the Boulder Parkinson's community. She led a local support group and worked with the Davis Phinney Foundation and the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies to help others navigate their journeys with the disease.

Helen's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her legacy of love and kindness bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
