Sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I think she and your dad needed to be together again. I never saw one without the other, and remember them as larger than life guests when we were younger. They were always kind to us and spoke with us kids when some other adults never bothered. I also remember them driving me home from the hospital one particular time. They had gone to visit my dad after his stroke. Kids weren't allowed in, so my mom left me in the waiting area downstairs when she had gone up. I first declined a ride from your parents saying my mom would take me home, but they told me she had left quite a while earlier. When you have six kids and lots on your mind, I guess its pretty easy to forget were you put them sometimes.
I'm so glad they attended my parents anniversary celebration with Sherry a couple of years ago. I hadn't seen any for quite a while, but they were great to see and I still felt wonderfully comfortale with them all.
My thoughts are with you all.
