Helen Dail Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2024.
Helen Holley Dail of Pflugerville, Texas died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Five Points of Pflugerville nursing and rehabilitation center after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. She was 80.

Born April 7, 1944 in Cambridge, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Carl Holley and Agnes Elizabeth Holley. She graduated from Dorchester County High School in 1962. In 1978 she moved to Marlinton, West Virginia where she worked in the medical records department at the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.

After enjoying the snowy winters and beautiful vistas of the Mountain State, she moved to San Marcos, Texas in 1983. There she raised her three boys, took classes from then Southwest Texas State University, and worked in the medical records department at Hays Nursing and Rehabilitation. After retiring, she moved to Pflugerville, Texas to be closer to family.

Helen collected cordial glasses and loved owls. Friends and family contributed to her collection of owl stuffies, figures, charms, and jewelry from their travels. Each addition put a smile on her face.

Helen is survived by three sons, David Dail and his wife Starlin Weaver of Mardela Springs, Maryland, Robert Dail and his wife Deena in Austin, Texas, and Stephen Dail of Austin, Texas, and two grandchildren Rhiannonn and Linnea.

In remembrance of Helen's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.
