HELEN A.
Age 89, formerly of Oakmont, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was born on April 14, 1925, in Verona, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Jaros) Palochik. Loving Wife for over 64 years of the late Earl "Bud" Fentzel, Jr.; loving mother of Cindy (Raymond) Skiles and Earl R. "ER" (Marisa) Fentzel III; grandmother of Casey Skiles, Jill Ortmann, and Kayla Fentzel; great-grandmother of Launa Skiles and Eva Lumley. She was preceded in death by her faithful four legged companion, "Buddy," who was well known by Oakmonters. Helen was a member of St. Irenaeus Roman Catholic Church in Oakmont and operated Helen Fentzel trophies along with her late husband, "Bud" producing many awards for Riverview High School. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael (Anne) Palochik, John (Jean) Palochik, Paul, and Andy Palochik; her sisters, Frances (John) Hester and Mary (William) Donovon. Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 5, 2015, 11 a.m., St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Irenaeus Catholic School, 637 4th Street, Oakmont, 15139 or American Red Cross, 312 Mercer Street, Butler, PA 16001.
