Please accept my heartfelt condolences of your aunt.

She was very much a part of everybody's lives in Fairhaven from the bookmobile to the library. She was a Godsend to us all - and believe me the world needs more like her.

As I grew up in East Fairhaven , there was always a familiar face on the famous ,"Bookmobile".That face was Mrs. Freitas. We couldn't wait until the designated day that we could get our books as children growing up way out in the farmlands of East Fairhaven in the 50's. She always greeted us with a smile and asked each year if our cats had kittens... because usually there would be a batch each Spring and we would drag them over to see her in the Bookmobile.I think one year she kept one and had it for years. Mrs. Freitas and the Bookmobile were one of my fondest memories growing up on Weeden Rd. Thanks to her family and friends for all the fun times with her.She was a wonderful lady!!!!
