The first time I heard Helen Gallagher was on the original cast album of "No, N Nanette. " But then I heard her voice on the phone when I called to ask if I could join her singing class more thN 40 years ago. I never got over taking instruction from the dynamic, warm talented woman with a clarion voice. I studied with her about 3 years, the off and on for severL summers when I returned to NY.
You did not forget Helen. She was an unforgetable spirit with a generous heart.
