I remember Helen well. She shall be missed. As one of the Founders of the Friends of Classics she shared in the many accomplishments of this illustrious group. It is a sad time for all of us. Prof. Edward Warren, Emeritus SDSU

My sister had the best godmother of anyone I know. This was lucky for me because I was able to keep in touch with Helen, and despite living on the East Coast, meet with her a few times in recent years.
Helen was a fantastic woman. I loved her for he kindness and steadfastness; she was truly a loving giver.
My warmest sympathies,
Laurel

I'm sad to hear of Helen's passing while I was away from San Diego. She was a lovely lady with an intense love of literature and the humanities. Her long support of Classics at San Diego State through The Friends of Classics will be fondly and gratefully remembered. I will miss seeing her smile at lectures and other gatherings of her friends who shared her happy interests.
E. Nicholas Genovese, Professor Emeritus and former Chair of Classics and Humanities and Treasurer of The Friends of Classics
