Oh I am just finding out about Helen´s death. My heart is broken. It´s kind of like losing mom again. Jack performed our wedding in Salisbury, NC in August of 1987. I was there joined the family. My friend Elinor went on vacation with them that year to help. I loved Helen and her children from the time I was about 12 and I am now almost 67. Shawn, Bill, Shef, Heather, Heidi and Hollie and Jack and Mary, Bill and I send our deepest condolences and love to you all. We lost mom 3/5/24 from Parkinson´s after 25+ years of having it. Love you all. Jennifer Patton Crawford "Jenny"

I had known Helen only a short time but I felt her love and compassion. She sang in our chorus here at Canterbury Court and continued coming when she could no longer make much of a sound. Her husband, Jack, faithfully brought her in her wheelchair and you could feel the devotion between them. Thank you, God, for this beautiful spirit. Joyce Hutchison

Helen was my clinical supervisor at Parkwood 32 years ago. She knew my husband Steve Brown & worked with him as well. She was such a treasure as a human being in all ways. I will never forget her and all she did to make me a better therapist over the decades.
Her warm smile was the best!
Barbara Blake Brown. My condolences for dear Jack and the whole family.

A love story for the ages, Helen and Jack lived their lives authentically and selflessly and became for many of us the very definition of higher love and service to others. I count it a true blessing to know them and to be always welcomed and loved by them. True companions and friends for one another, they were indeed soul mates. My condolences for your loss and heartache, dear Jack and family. May Helen´s radiant love continue to shine within us as we remember her life and celebrate her journey home. Deep peace be yours. much love, Gary

Helen and Jack,
It has been an immeasurable honor to walk with both of you on the road of this life for many years. You have been and are beloved friends and colleagues.
We had a profound and meaningful last visit, Helen. Jack was, of course, as always, by your side. Now you are well on the Path of Light and your lamp is bright as you make your way to the stars and to the Beloved of your beloved life companion, Jack, who will carry the love that both of you have cultivated over the many years together to others.
As I have every morning for quite some time, I send abundant light and love to you, Helen... and to you, Jack.
Always, your brother and friend of soul,
Neale

Helen deeply touched by life and that of my family- she was my therapist on and off for many years and helped me grow up- then became a dear special friend- what a love she and Jack had, pure and full of adoration and respect -everyone Helen met immediately loved her spirit. A precious precious soul-

Helen, in tandem with Jack, literally saved me, my wife and future fruitful marriage when I could not see or believe beyond the selfish wall in front of me....

Helen and Jack have been dear friends for many years. I knew them when we were in a Consciousness Group with others who shared a rich spiritual journey. The picture below was made at our gathering in Weaverville, NC in August, 1993 at the home of Lynn and Steve Forbes-DeSeule.

One can only dream and hope to live a life as full, as adventurous, as giving, as selfless, and as full of love as that of the life of Helen. This tribute alone shared more than I knew, and it sounds as if her life could fill volumes. Helen and Jack and Mary are forever in my heart, as friends and colleagues. Helen always felt like home. Her hugs were the best and heartfelt. Her love and acceptance of all people was palpable and sincere. Helen was open to knowing you, and even experiencing you, at a deep level and she didn't hold back her curiosity or genuine connection. There are no words to express what she means to me, and her love for Jack and his love for her was so warm and real. If I didn't love watching people in love, I would almost envy it, but instead I cherished it and admired them. Their depth of being, their ability to soul search, be introspective, and then give 10 fold more to the person sitting next to them is something that is what Christ calls us to be: To love others fully. I rejoice in knowing she can now speak! Yea, sing, dance, shout, explore, smile, laugh, and love without any pain, any barriers, any worries, or any tears, and I cannot wait to hug her again in heaven and hope she is saving a place for all of us at the table. Love and hugs to all of her family. You took care of her in ways many do not in their final years and days and moments. I honor you for every small and great thing you were able to do for her. God bless you all. Love, Rachel Lacy and Scott McLeod
