Helen touched me with several perfectly-timed acts of kindness through the years, even bringing me to tears with her thoughtfulness. These are things I will never forget. It was a privilege to know her, and I know her dear family will miss her greatly. I'm praying for all of you now.

Nanny, I just want to say thanks again for each and every way you helped shape my life. You and Papa both were two of the most influential people in my life. You taught me some very important baking skills (like how much just a little is). I can now duplicate your homemade pumpkin pie. You made it seem so easy! I learned sewing skills at a young age that helped me land a job at Hancock's at just 16. You and Papa babysat me and my children. You made prom gowns, bridesmaids dresses, Easter dresses, potholders, dish rags, and an endless number of quilts. I can't count the number of quilts I have pinned together with you.
But mostly, you and Papa were a constant for Brandi and I growing up. Your house always felt like home to us. It offered love, stability and a smell that will never be duplicated. The memories are endless. And everytime I visit one I think of another. I will Cherrish them and treat them like gifts.
I am so happy that you are at peace and with Papa again. We will look for signs of you throughout our lives. Thanks for everything. (Bailey appreciated the pennies today) I love you
