Helen Louise Marshall, 88 of Hilton Head Island, formerly of Champion, passed away April 29, 2011, at Hilton Head Hospital. She was born May 19, 1922, in Nutwood, OH, the daughter of Dudley and Evelyn (Skidmore) Higgins. Helen was a member of the Champion Christian Church where she was involved in the Rachel Circle and sang in the church choir. Helen worked and retired from Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She live in Champion until 2007 when she moved to be with her son Larry and his wife Louise in Hilton Head. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Louise Marshall, Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren: Aaron (Sandy) and great grandson Luke of SC; Shelly Marshall of FL., Tom Drokin and Jamie Thomas both of Warren. Great grandchildren; Jessica Marshall of SC, Brandon and Zach Thomas and Jared Drokin all of Warren. Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband Thelmer who died June 18, 1983. Also her daughter Lynn Drokin who preceded her April 2007 and son Larry Marshall who passed November 2007. Mrs. Marshall was also preceded by her half brother Bill Higgins. Helen was loved by everyone for her kind sprit and love of life. She will be missed greatly. Family will be present to greet friends at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Thursday May 12, 2011, noon untill time of service. The service will be held at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
