Helen Manell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 7, 2024.
Helen Marie Manell, aged 79, passed away on August 24, 2024, in Benton, Maine. Born on December 25, 1944, in Whitehall, New York, Helen lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a sharp wit that brought laughter to those around her. Her career was dedicated to General Electric, where she worked until her retirement.

Helen's hobbies included photography and woodworking, activities through which she expressed her creativity and meticulous attention to detail. She was a person who cherished her close-knit circle of friends and family, always ready to support them in any way she could.

She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Christopher and Christina Will; her niece and husband, Amy and Mathew Johnson; her sister and brother-in-law, Gale and Vince Will; and several great-nieces and nephews. All of them felt Helen's immense love and care throughout her life.

A memorial service will be held on October 12, 2024, at Green Mountain Cemetery in Whitehall, New York. Jillson Funeral Home Inc., also located in Whitehall, is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors and Tunnel to Towers Foundation, two causes that were close to Helen's heart. Helen's legacy will live on not only through her family and friends but also through her contributions to these charitable organizations.
