Peacefully, on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Beloved wife of David for forty-five years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Marnie and Jeff Nusbaum, and Jason Mars. Cherished "Bubbie Helen" of Hailey and Romy Nusbaum; Isabelle and Aiden Mars. Dear sister of Allan, and the late Shirley; and sister- in-law of Beatrice and Lew Lewis. Loving aunt of Shawn and Shoshana Lewis, Lianne and Steven Singer. Daughter of the late Fanny and the late Jack Kurtzman; and daughter-in-law of the late Helen and the late Max Mars. Fondly remembered by Lisa Winikoff. The family would like to thank Dr. Stanley Heisler, Chris, and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, July 7 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the "Helen Mars Memorial Fund for Hope and Cope" c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.

So sorry to hear of Helen's passing.We certainly remember the good times at the Sea Air in Florida.Jason and Bruce used to play ball at the beach.Bruce, Howard and I send our deepest sympathy to all at this sad time. Mitzie Levy and family. Scranton Pa.

so sorry to hear of Helens passing. we do have many memories of Helen in our Lucerne avenue shop and her always search and desire for being right up to the minute in fashion, Our sincerest condolences to Blackie and the family and wishes for no more losses.
