My twin and I met Helen at the Dearmont dorm in college(SEMO). It was just like yesterday. Helen's beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes shines through with her loving, kind and generous soul. We loved Helen.

Helen was one of my very best friends since we were both freshmen in high school in 1957. In younger days we went on camping trips together, as well as many visits. It's hard to wrap around my head that she's gone. I already miss her. Since it was meant for her to leave us now, I can only hope it was a painless transition for her because she's endured so much pain the last few years. R.I.P. dear friend.

Helen and I have been friends since first grade in East Prairie. We were together in brownie scouts, exploring on our bikes, grade school, junior high school, and high school, the band, and the student council. Several EP girls managed to keep our friendship going and we had the pleasure of her company over all these many years. We will miss her but have many beautiful memories!..Carolyn (Jones) Bowers

I first met Helen at the school bus stop where our daughters boarded the bus for kindergarten at Fox school in the early 1970's. I always looked forward to seeing her there as our girls got on and off the bus. She was always such a joy to talk to. Always a smile on her face and fun conversation as we walked back to our homes in our neighborhood. Our girls, Audrea and Anita grew up together and are still good friends. We went about our lives, but, I always kept Helen in mind through our daughter's relationship. The last time I saw Helen was in the hospital ,St Anthony's, when my daughter, Anita, and I visited her a little while back. I hadn't seen her for years, but she was the same, sweet, friendly person, even in her illness, that I remembered when we were much younger. We had both put on some years, but the hearts and the connection were the same. I will always remember her that way. God Bless and comfort all her family and friends. God has another angel in heaven.
