Helen Price Jones Stafford Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 8, 2025.
Coleman - Helen Price Jones Stafford, born on July 17, 1931, in Coleman, Texas, was a beloved resident of the community until her peaceful passing on December 7, 2025, at Coleman County Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was 94 years old.

In her early years, Helen demonstrated her commitment to education and community, graduating from Coleman High School in 1948. After graduating high school, Helen attended Texas Christian University. Her career as a bookkeeper and secretary spanned many years, reflecting her dedication and strong work ethic.

Helen's true passion was music, which she shared generously with those around her. For over 57 years, she served as the organist for the First Presbyterian Church and later the United Christian and Presbyterian Church. Helen's musical talents enhanced countless church services, weddings, funerals, and Baccalaureate ceremonies, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of many.

In addition to her professional and musical pursuits, Helen was a devoted wife and mother, having first married Rex Jones on October 21, 1950. After Rex's passing, she found love again and married Charles Stafford on June 9, 2003. Helen's unwavering love for her family was evident in the way she nurtured her children and embraced them through every stage of their lives. She is survived by her children, Peggy Densman and husband Rick of Abilene, Nancy Brockman and husband Bob of Sonora, Mary Jo Turner and husband Sam of Denton, and stepdaughter Vicki Bohls and husband Kirk of Austin. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Amy Morris, Ryan Densman, Ashley and Jeff Sanders, Landon Brockman and wife Dristen, Samantha Turner, Garrett Turner and wife Karlee, Grant Turner and wife Dazha, and Abby Turner, as well as her three step-grandsons, Ryan Bohls, Tyler Bohls and wife Lindsey, and Zackary Bohls. Helen also cherished her role as a great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren, Aiden Morris, Luke Morris, Sophie Sanders, Quinn Brockman, and two step-great-grandchildren, Brewer Bohls and Ford Bohls.

Known for her beautiful and loving personality, Helen was a woman of class who welcomed everyone into her home and her church. She knew everyone in Coleman County and most of their extended families, fostering a deep sense of community connection. Always impeccably dressed for any occasion, she maintained her beauty appointments with care, embodying both grace and warmth in every interaction. Helen was always dedicated to her community, the Coleman Bluecats, and the TCU Horned Frogs, proudly wearing her blue and purple!

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Price, Sr. and Aubie Sims Price; her two husbands, Rex Jones and Charles Stafford; and her two brothers, Floyd Price, Jr. and James P. Price.

Helen Price Jones Stafford will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, faith, and service to others will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
