Helen Puckett

TROY, Kan. - Helen (Duncan) Puckett, 74, of Troy, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008.
Helen was born on March 30, 1934, in Severance, Kan., to Frank and Rosella (Sparks) Duncan.
She lived in Bel Gardens, Calif., for four years and in Savage, Minn., for eight years, but has lived most of her life in Troy.
Helen worked for and retired from Atchison Products in 1996.
Helen married Robert E. Puckett on Jan. 4, 1955, in Troy. He survives of the home.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Peggy Joann Duncan and Louise Noll; and brother, Bill Duncan.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Joann (Dennis) Smith of Elwood, Kan., Rebecca (Michael) Franken of Topeka, Kan.; son Robert E. Puckett, Jr., of Leavenworth County, Kan.; five grandchildren, Wendi Smith, Jeff and Brandy Smith, all of Elwood, Caitlyn and Colton Franken, both of Topeka; four great-grandchildren, Miranda Franken of Topeka, Raini, Trenton and Kassydee Smith, all of Elwood; three brothers, Wesley Duncan of St. Joseph, Jim Duncan of Cameron, Mo., George Duncan of Faucett, Mo.; sister Sue Lance of Platte City, Mo.; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-neices and great-nephews, including a special niece, Carol Sigrist of St. Joseph.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy. Visitation: family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home, where friends may call after noon on Monday.
