Helen Dominguez Sanchez, 73, passed away May 14, 2009, in Oxnard, Calif. Mom was a wonderful, caring, giving, generous and very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She love every single one of us unconditionally. She was our shining light and gave us guidance to do the right things in life. We are comforted in knowing that she is now free of all pain and suffering and is smiling and rejoicing in the arms of our Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Julia Dominguez; and son, Paul Ramos. She is survived by her beloved husband, Guadalupe Sanchez whom she dearly loved and cherished in marriage for forty years; her 6 children, David Ramos, Anthony Ramos, Lupe Sanchez, Linda Ramos, Maria Manzo, and Anita Ortiz; her 2 brothers, Tony and Harold Dominguez; 24 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Some of the things mom loved to do were traveling, gardening, cooking, sewing, shopping and family outings where she enjoyed socializing and being with family and friends. She also loved watching Lakers basketball. Our mother will be in our hearts and minds and will be dearly missed forever. She was the heart and soul of our family. She was the inspiration that kept our loving family close. She was extremely humorous and witty. She taught us to respect and love everyone equally no matter whom they were or where they came from. We will cherish her loving thoughts, beautiful smile, her unselfish acts of kindness, and all the things she did for everyone she came in contact with.
We are very grateful to our lord for the joyous times he allowed us to spend with our beloved mother.
God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered "Come to Me"
A golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts
To prove to us
He only takes the best

My Sincerest Regards to All of Helen's family with the loss that Their going through.
I met Helen through Her grandson David and His family members on a number of different occasions. I can truly say what a pleasure It was conversating and getting to know Her.
Helen was so full of "Energy" and had so much "Spunk" In Her that I would look forward to seeing Her on the next family function that would occur.

Life just isen't fair.. Why did he have to take you away from us? I wished that i'd had more time to show you how much I love you .. Everyday, every hour, every min,I think of all the good memories we've had together like our easter sundays, our camping days and most of all those wonderfull times at grandpa's and grandma's house in Nyland Acers driving down that road of white shinny rocks just waiting for the car to stop so that i could run into grandmas house to get her loving worm huggs and kisses she always gave alot of, which she always had planty of.I also remember helping grandpa with the yard, feeding there birds, playing baseket ball with my Tio Lupe. Then returning back in just to smell those freshly home made cookies she'd bake up for us.Grandma Helen always was cooking or had something made for us to eat. She is the best grandmother the lord could have given to us.I miss her dearly and wish she was still with us.I'll never forget how much our grandparents loved eachother and how much they always showed each and everyone of us a special love. My heart hurts not able to go and see my loving grandma and will always miss her.I'll never forget that special last time we had together that night in ICU when I was telling her goodnight, and that we were all fighting 4 her but we needed her to fight also not to give up,and she told that she was trying and took all her straignth to take her left hand and rub my check while she told me that she loved me very much.I really didn't understand that that would have been the last time I'd have to talk to her. There was so much more I'd wish I'd had said before leaving her that night.I'm sorry I diden't spend more time with her.But will always treasure our last mo
ment of that night.I promise that we will take care of grandpa, and will always visit you through-out the rest of my lifetime.I also promise to be strong for my mommy Linda R Morales whom hurts dearly everyday not having her mother here anymore. ~I Love You Grandma & Grandpa always & forever~ ~I'll Miss you now & 4~ever ~
