So sad to hear of Helen's passing. I have such wonderful memories of her at Gram's house... sneaking in on their card games made me feel like such a grown up, and the sips of coffee they gave me did too! Whenever I slept over I remember staying up, hearing those biddies cackling around the kitchen table until all hours of the night- they were all so much fun! And how many times did I go with Gram to McDonalds the next morning, only to see Helen and Uchie again so soon? The answer is every. dang. time. :) Helen was truly like another grandmother to me throughout my childhood; she will be missed. I hope for healing for my extended family- I find peace in knowing her and Gram are laughing together again.
