Helen Vick Obituary
Helen was born March 10, 1925, in Douglas County, MN, to Robert and Tillie Anderson. Helen met and married Ernest J. Vick in Minneapolis in 1943.
After Ernest completed his seminary education, Rev. and Mrs. Vick served churches in Newfolden, Cokato, and Brooklyn Center, MN, from 1947-68. They also served the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone, IA, from 1968-84. Ernest passed away in 1997.
Ernest and Helen were blessed with 5 children: David (Penny); Dorothy (Larry Peterson); Arlinda, passed at age 2.5; Marilee (Kenneth Shrader); Lowell (Margaret). Helen leaves 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, daughter Arlinda, sister Mildred Nelson, sister Eunice Gunderson, brothers Roland, Wally, and Virgil Anderson.
Helen's life was a testimony of her faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Helen on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at Prairie Hills Evangelical Free Church, 17200 Valley View Rd., Eden Prairie MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be designated to the "Bridge Program In Memory of Helen Vick" at www.elimshores.org/donate or mail check to Elim Shores, 7900 Timber Lake Dr., Eden Prairie, MN 55347

I have so many memories of Helen. Her strong faith and love for her family was an awesome testimony of her faith in God and love for people. She was always kind welcoming to me and had a great sense of humor. When I think of Godly women I think of her. My love and prayers go out to all of her family, especially Marilee and Ken and their girls, who have all been lifelong friends. Thank you for sharing her with me through the years! Love Linda
