Helene was an incredibly kind person to my best friend Jakob and to myself. Every time we saw her, she always had a way of making us feel loved and valued. Thank you for making so many people´s lives better by being in it Helene.

I first met Helene in front of Children's Playschool while I waited for my oldest daughter Shayna to emerge. There was Helene in the Pickel Van picking up a bunch of wee ones from school. She became a child care provider for my girls along with Mary and later on we were colleagues at Perry CDC. Our family loved her dearly.

I have fond memories of Helene in the Ped PACU. She was a great team member, sage advisor and lots of fun. Dedicated to her patients and her family she opened her heart to anyone who needed a hand or an ear. I was delighted to have seen Maryann and Helene at a store recently. Hugs and prayers to the family.

A solid partner, wonderful mother, devoted friend, wise counselor, patient teacher, strong role model, solid advocate, ambassador for ongoing education and skilled and compassionate nurse. She impacted those around her in many very positive ways. I am so appreciative to have had her as a friend and colleague.

I´m sure Helene left a lasting impression on all. She was my daycare mom, and I will miss her. Love to all the Mayleben family.

Helene leaves such a legacy. It was a privilege to work alongside her at YCS. I know her absence leaves a great whole in her wonderful family and community. Sending love and prayers to the entire family.

Nurse Helene was always there with a helping hand, a comforting smile or a bit of useful advice for teachers or students in need. So many times she came to my aid, both for small needs and when the stakes were a bit higher. At one point, I was experiencing an actual emergency while at work and Nurse Helene was just there, seeming to appear out of thin air. She was such a reassuring presence during what was a scary time for me. She had one of those magnanimous personalities that simply filled up whatever room she was in. I know her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her. May she RIH and may her family and friends find comfort in the knowledge of how deeply she touched everyone she knew.

Humble, gentle lady who it was a joy to call my sister in law.
