HELENE PORTER

To Helene's children and their families, Your dear mother was a cherished and very special person. At our family picnic three years ago,even though she wasn't feeling well, I remember how she still had her warm, friendly and joyous personality. We have an enlarged picture taken about 1940 of "My Sister and I" on our den wall. Helene and I are walking down a set of stairs holding hands with a decorated trellis in the background. The picture was taken by Grandpa. We want you to know that all of you are near to our hearts and in our thoughts and prayers.

Helene was such a nurturer both personally and professionally as an LPN. She let me live with her when I got my first job and was struggling with post-college real life. She was so joyful and warm, a great person to all.

Memories of my Aunt Heenie are many and precious. My prayers go out to all my Porter cousins and I thank God I was able to be share memories of family and especially of Camp OOhWeee.

My thoughts of deepest sympathy to Helene's children and family. Helene being my "ME TOO" sister, deeply dwells in my heart of memories. Now that Helene's soul is with the saints above, she is in waiting for each one of us. With thoughts of love of our loss- my love to you all - Aunt Barbara

I will never forget my Aunt "Heenie" and how well she took care of me when I came for visits with Grandma and Grandpa Benosky when I was a kid. I have many fond memories of her. All of my love to everyone.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. She was truly my second mother and I loved her dearly. I can still see her twisting her hair and rolling her eyes at us when we wouldn't stop whatever craziness we were up to. She was one of the kindest, most patient people I've ever known.
