Dear Fred, Ford, Curtis, and family,
I was so saddened to hear this terrible news. I knew Helene many years ago when I had a gallery in the East Village and Helene purchased art works from me on behalf of Prudential. She was so knowledgeable, had a great eye, and a wonderful personality. We were not close but I held her in high esteem. The world has lost a truly wonderful person and my heart goes out to you.

Dear Fred, Ford, Curtis and family,
I am so sad about the tragic death of Helene. I met Helene when she curated a show of my work at Prudential. I just loved her immediately. Since then she had followed my work and came to most of my New York exhibits. I always looked forward to her comments because of the incredible respect I had of her.She was an amazing person and will be incredibly missed. I send you strength to help you through this and know that she will always be in my heart.

My husband Steve met Fred when they were working at the post office & going to City College, in 1968. I met Fred & Helene in 1972. Helene was a vibrant, articulate woman, who was on the path that would lead to a career filled with great accomplishments and outstanding value to the publics improved appreciation for artist and their work. As couples we were good friends. We can look back to the early days at the Meisel Gallary, her book, " SoHo " published in 1978 ; her work for Prudential. We were inspired by her ability for sharing her great passion and love of art. Helene's contributions in this area will last forever. Both Steve and I extend our most sincere sympathy to Fred, Ford, Curtis and the Zucker/Seeman family.

My children and I belonged to Nassau Pool for many years and although I really didn't know Helene and her family, I write because I want her family to know how much I enjoyed her--from afar. She intrigued me, this lovely woman from Manhattan who summered in Princeton, seemed to be always having the best time--invigorated by the cold water and conversation and summer reading, but more than anything, she just radiated an inner happiness: she was always smiling, a lovely warm happy smile--and so she and I exchanged smiles, and I always expected that would be the case. She made me happy because she seemed like just an incredibly content person. Smile, swimsuit, floppy hat, equally happy and nice husband and friends, with her big boys coming and going, it is absolutely inconceivable to me that she is gone. To her family and friends, please know you are in my prayers--know your beautiful Helene captivated many of us who delighted in her presence from all the nearby circles of pool chairs. With love, Wendy Kwitny

Helene Seeman was a fine, vibrant person. There are positive attributes that she fixed in the world by her good deeds and purposeful actions. I’m sure her friends and family by remembering her will keep her
spirit with us.
Curtis and Ford, someday, maybe 10-20 years from now, something will happen and you will see or feel your mother’s
presence in that event. I hope you experience some joy when that occurs. For now, I am so sorry for the pain
and suffering you are experiencing.

My heart reaches out to Fred, Ford, Curtis and all of the Zucker/Seeman family. Dale Moses
