Mrs. Buter and family:

I am saddened to learn of Hemmo's passing. Regrettably, I don't get to Williamsburg very often and it has been many years since I have seen any of the family. I have a lot of fond memories of several years ago when Ralph and I in particular, used to spend a lot of time going back and forth across the street. I also remember how tasty your 'buter balls' were, they were always a nice treat.
Unfortunately I will not be able to be there to express my sympathy in person, however, you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely

Dave Shaw
