Henrietta Brown Obituary
Penny was born in 1947 to the late Henry and Gladys Brown, in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. As a child and teen, she excelled in school and lettered in many varsity sports. Penny worked many jobs in the healthcare field and in 1988 she graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
Penny became a Christian in 1984 and it was evident she was a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) to all who knew her. Penny loved sharing the Gospel and the Word of God.
In 1998, Penny moved to Northern Virginia to help her daughter Renee and take care of her grandson Dale. Penny became a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church, Springfield, Virginia in 2004.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, Penny also loved watching and playing tennis with her daughter, watching basketball and discussing sports with her sister Betty, taking care of her flower beds, and studying the bible each week with the ladies of Calvary Road Baptist Church. She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gladys, sister Linda, and her brothers, James, Carl, Henry Jr., and Johnny. She is survived by her sisters, Betty and Lee, her brother, Lawrence (Jacqueline), her daughter Renee, and her grandson, Dale.
Funeral will be June 6, 2025, Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Wayside Chapel, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. Burial immediately following.
