Dear Beth, I remember Martha and I sneaking next door on Saturday mornings to hang out with (or wake up and annoy) Woody when we lived in Cottagewood. I also seem to remember you staying with us sometime around your wedding for some reason. Praise God for Woody and what a good friend and neighbor he was to my dad and our family. A couple of ornery sailors and friends who are greatly loved and missed. Stay calm and carry on, in Jesus' name.

Beth and Family. So many great memories growing up with Woody and hanging out at the Grandparents on the point. And so many laughs too sailing Erzulie. Hope you are at that big regatta in the sky. Beth, shout any time if you need an ear to bend. Peter Rogers

I have fond memories of crewing with Woody at a "C" Inland Championships on Green Lake back in the 70's. He maintained a good sense of humor despite our medicore finish. It was about this time that I concluded I had no future in racing cat rigged boats!

Julie and my thoughts are with Woody and his family whom I knew from my summers in Cottagewood racing both X boats & C scows against Woody at the Minnetonka Yacht Club. I vividly recall what a great competitor and sense of humor Woody possessed. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Our prayers go out to you Woody and your family. I have fond memories of Woody coming by our home in Cottagewood at cocktail hour for a cold beer and some cheese and crakers. Woody was always good company!

Another voice from the past. I enjoyed sailing with Woody on Minnetonka when we where kids. Woody was a great person and a fun guy to be around. He also taught me a thing or two about sailing.

Rest in Peace Woody. Our visit last winter during the weekly "iceboat night" at Harry's has even more special meaning now. You were so full of enthusiasm for your new boat plus excited about getting back into sailing your DN iceboat. We had fun laughing together and remembering our trip to Aspen when we fried the engine in your car. My thoughts are now with your family.
