Henry and I (Tom Hill), Bemidji Lumberjacks, faced off against each other in 1968 and 1969 for the Region 8 Baseball championships. He and I both pitched against each other and I was fortunate enough to win both games 5-4 and 5-4 and advance to the Minnesota State Baseball Tournament. After the second win Henry came up to me and stated, "Tommy, you only white boy to beat me twice!" I have never forgotten that cherished moment with the greatest hockey player in the world!

I have a clear memory of Henry as a phenomenal high school player and a certain star in the NHL. I then lived briefly in the Warroad community - at about the time Henry was trying to fight back from the Forbes assault - and each day was struck by the influence that he had in Northern MN, and the love he received from those citizens. He had a difficult life to be sure, but he left a positive mark and will certainly be both missed and discussed for a very long time.
