Henry Daniel Bovie II

Henry 'Hank' Daniel Bovie, II passed away peacefully on Sunday night, April 17, 2022, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, June Jansing Bovie. Together they were blessed with two sons, Bradley Albert Bovie and Daniel Lester Bovie (wife, Brandy Abadie Bovie). He was the grandfather of Cody Albert Dick, Breana Rae Bovie, Alyssa Marie Bovie, Braeden Daniel Bovie, Brycen Duke Bovie and Brennyn Abadie Bovie. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila Bovie Curtis and a brother-in-law, Robert Lester Jansing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Daniel Bovie and Eleanor Portier Bovie. As a business professional, Hank was employed in the financial sector business for 54 years. Hank served in the United States Air Force and was a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Metairie for 50 years. 'PopPops' particularly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren at their sporting events. He also enjoyed trips to the beach with family and friends. A special thanks to Hospice Specialties of Louisiana for their supportive and compassionate care for Hank and his family. Mass will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6500 Kawanee Avenue in Metairie on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:30 am. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal St. in New Orleans.
