We were sorry to hear of Hank´s passing. He was a kind man that helped many people. Hank was a good friend to my father, Brian Murphy. He will be missed.

Uncle Henry was a huge University of Notre Dame football fan. We were all invited, all expenses paid, to the 1989 USC vs ND football game. I was only 14 at the time and I got sick so I couldn't attend. Cousin Angelo was a no show, so only Ric, Ken and Hank went to the game in South Bend, Indiana.

I will miss the barbeques at Uncle Hank's home; he was a gracious host and a great cook. You were always welcomed with the good old-fashioned Italian hospitality. Salute, buon appetito, mangia bene!

My cousin Hank and I were avid Notre Dame fans and two years ago we made a trip to South Bend. The highlight of the memory, at that time ,was the victory over USC.
Hank invited Ken to join us but he declined because he knew what the result would be!

I have a fond memory of a trip to California to visit my Aunt Jean and her family. It was a wonderful day when I met Hank's children and grandchildren.
A day I will never forget.

There are many activities that remind me of Uncle Hank, but the most memorable by far were the USC vs ND football games. In 2014, Ric's family joined us; Then in 2012, Hank , Dad and I went. Uncle Angelo and Hank went to South Bend to watch ND vs Western Michigan in 2010; Uncle Angelo flew out to LA in 2004; and way back in 1989, cousin Ric, Hank, and Dad went to South Bend.

Hank loved the family and he enjoyed the portrait paintings of him and his family.

I will always remember the passion Hank had for the Angel baseball teams, and the Notre Dame football teams. But he was a proud Italian, so when ND fans yelled out "go Irish", Hank would yell out "go Italians"

Hank, as a skinny 9 year, old liked to put on our dad's big boxing gloves and "box" plus fool around; it was good for a smile & laugh.

Hank and his kid brother intended to walk to the big rock [ 15'x15'] at the huge marshland. However a kid was on top of the rock and he prevented Hank and kid brother from nearing the big rock, by throwing small rock at them. Hank faked getting hit in the eye by one of the rocks; the kid throwing the rocks came running up to them, apologetically. Hank then proceeded to scold the kid for throwing rocks. Hank was a very clever kid.

Story: I was sitting in a bar in San Francisco, early 1970's, when 2 young ladies approach me; they say, "do you know who is sitting next to you?". "no". That's James Caan [ keep in mind that the greatest movie ever made, the Godfather movie was just released] they say, but we are too shy to approach him. So I leaned over and asked what is your name. He says "Jimmy, what's your name?". "Ken". I paused. I ask, what's your last name? he says Caan, and asks what is your last name? Foresta. I sit stunned, but still unimpressed. The ladies continued to talk, "see, told you so, and they ask, "if you were to sit next to anyone in the world, anyone, who would it be". and I answered, "my brother"[Hank].
