Our beloved Grandfather, Father, Uncle, and Brother Henry Hacker Jr. went home to be with the Lord God, our Heavenly Father on October 2, 2024 in Augusta Georgia at the age of 85. He was born on November 5, 1938 in the town of Augusta Georgia. His parents were Henry Hacker and Katie Hacker. He attended Charles T. Walker Elementary School. As a teenager, he always put family first. He left the south as a teenager to find work to help and support his brothers and younger sisters financially for many years. As a young, strong minded, and private man with high ambitions for a better life, he found steady employment in Brooklyn, New York. He played a key role in the maintenance management operations of several hospitals in Brooklyn New York and later at the University Hospital in Augusta Georgia. As the manager for building maintenance and facilities, he controlled these operations with professional excellence. A man of good looks, charm, and having superior taste in wearing the best fashionable clothing. He met and married Armanda Vickie Warren and assisted her in raising children. These children: Joey, Tony, Michael, Jackie, David, Francesca, and Lisa became his children and they loved him dearly. Later in life, he divorced and moved back to his home state of Augusta Georgia. There he continued his education, received work service awards and retired after decades in the career field of building maintenance management. Henry very much enjoyed riding his bike everywhere, along with going to the Flea Market, traveling, and laughing with close friends and relatives. During his lifetime, Henry achieved so many great things and was always loving and kind to each person he met along the way. Henry Hacker Jr. was preceded in life by his Mother and Father, sisters Minnie, Mary, and Barbara; brothers Sam, Rickie, Andrew and Al. Remaining brothers: Clyde and Willie, sisters: Irene and Georgia; daughter Francesca and granddaughter Kayla. You will always remain precious to us and your laughter and your smile will truly be missed by family, relatives, and close friends. We will always cherish the time shared together with you. Beyond the horizon, a special path you will find with butterflies dancing to welcome you finally Home. Loving you always. Hugs and Kisses, the Family.

My memory of Uncle Henry, he was a lot of fun and humorous, he always said what was on his mind and I admire him for doing things his way, I remember when I was a little girl he would come to our house in Brooklyn N.Y., he would always come to our bedroom and spend time with us before visiting the adults in the house and he always carry wooden matches and he would burn one and turn it upside down and tell us to pick one from his hand and who ever would pick the one that was burnt would get a dollar , but all of us would get a quarter to spend for candy of course this was in the 60's when you can a lot of candy with a quarter. I love my uncle Henry to the moon and beyond.
