Lou and I were office mates for several years when he was a post doc and new staff member. He helped me through some difficult times in my new job. Then he taught my son to climb. Now they are both gone. I like to think that they've found some challenging rock to climb in heaven. Kathy, you and Ty are real heroes! Love to you all at this difficult time.

I worked with Lou on many experiments during his tenure at LANL. He was both a very competent engineer, and a joy to work with due to his upbeat attitude and great personality. My condolences to his family.
