Henry LARKIN Obituary
June 8, 1921 - December 12, 2011
Born in Montreal, June 8, 1921, passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre Cochrane, December 12, 2011. He enlisted in the Grenadier Guards January '41 and while serving overseas was posted to Military Headquarters where he met his wife to be Violet (Gustman) of Claresholm who was serving with the C.W.A.C. They were married in Montreal, August 30th, 1946. Violet passed just before their 64th anniversary. Henry operated a Massey Ferguson/General Motors dealership at Delia, AB from 1952 to 1967 and then was employed by the Alberta Government from 1967 to 1989. His four children, Linda, Maureen, Ross and Tim mourn his passing. Henry requested that there be no funeral service, and that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Royal Canadian Legion No 264. I am saddened to hear of the passing of Henry. He lived across the alley from us for many years. My dad Roy, neighbor Gordon, and Henry were best friends for many many years. Henry was the last remaining of the 3 muskateers. Always cracking jokes and laughing. I will remember him fondly. Thoughts and prayers to his family. GOD Bless

Henry came to our doctors office for many years to see Dr. Moys and he was quite a character. When he walked in he always lit up the room with his smile . He had a delightful sense of humor and we will always remember him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family... rest in peace Henry
