Henry Perry Folk Obituary
Skipper was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Bentley Folk, his son, Henry Perry Folk, III, his parents and his sister, Mary Alice Folk Mills. He is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth Caroline Koye (Gary), Suzanna Folk Arnold (Walt), and Jessica Folk Canada (Roy). He also leaves four grandchildren, Brianna Arnold Clement (David), Sam Arnold, Alexa Folk, and Cooper Canada. He also leaves behind his niece, Caroline Alice Ward (Danny) and her children, Katherine and Daniel.
After graduating from Dreher High School in Columbia, South Carolina, Skipper attended college at the University of South Carolina before serving in the Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in Japan. After leaving the Air Force, he moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he met and married Sylvia. It was there they raised their family. With the exception of a few years spent in Sarasota, Florida and the last three years in Trinity, Florida, Lexington, Kentucky was home.
Skipper will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but he will live on in the memories and stories they share. While Skipper's passing is a time of sadness, it is also a time to celebrate a life well lived, filled with laughter and love for his family and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Gulfside Hospice, 2061 Collier Parkway, Land O Lakes, FL 34639.
