Henry L Ponzo

Henry L. Ponzo, 79, of Lafayette, California, passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born on January 16, 1944, in San Jose, Ca. Henry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Henry is survived by his daughter, Charlene Fernandes, son-in-law, Jeff Fernandes, son, Joseph Ponzo, and brother Edward Ponzo. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Connor Fernandes, Carly Fernandes, Jordyn Ponzo, and Madison Ponzo. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ponzo, his father, Joseph Ponzo, and his mother, Lorraine Ponzo.

Henry attended Saint Mary's High School for his high school education and later pursued various Automotive Trade Schools for higher education. He had a successful career as a mechanic, Snap-On Tool Dealer, and home builder.

In his free time, Henry enjoyed NHRA Drag Racing, boating, and spending quality time with his beloved family.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Henry's life will be held at Oakmont Mortuary Park, located at 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549. The funeral home assisting with the arrangements is Oakmont Mortuary in Lafayette, CA.

Henry L. Ponzo will be remembered as a dedicated family man, skilled professional, and someone who cherished moments spent with loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
