Henry UNGER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 7, 2004.
UNGER _ Henry (Hank) Victor, born in Coaldale, Alberta in 1938, grew up in the Fraser Valley. Became a "dual citizen" of BC and Alta, settled in Parksville, BC after retirement and went to be with his Lord April 3, 2004 at home, on a beautiful sunny morning. Hank was predeceased by his father, Henry J., mother Alice, and brother Vern. Hank loved family and friends dearly. He was a father, husband, brother, friend, traveler, adventurer, golfer (?), woodworker, and all 'round handyman. He loved getting together for picnics, dinners, and family reunions. Next to God, his first love was his family. He is survived by wife, advocate, and friend Mary; daughter Andrea and son Mark. Also brothers Ted, Wally, Ernie; brother-in-law Richard; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and his church family. Hank LIVED life to the best of his ability: never a quitter or complainer. He was a treasure to us all. Hank came to God later in life and loved his church family; particularly his small bible study group. Thank you to Jack, Pastor Gord, Dr. L. McClure, Home Care Nurses and Lyn and Mike. Memorial Service will be held at Parksville Baptist Church, 550 N. Pym Street, Parksville, on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Any tribute you feel fitting is gratefully accepted-pass a kindness on to someone less fortunate. Also donations for research Kidney Foundation of Canada, 320-1600 W. 6th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J 1R3 Hank you were quite a guy!
