HENRY J VIMISLIK

Henry "Hank" Vimislik Jr. 91, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on August 20,2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, helpfulness and humor that endeared him to everyone who knew him. Born on July 20, 1934, in Johnson City N.Y. Hank grew up in a family of 7 children raised by Henry Vimislik Sr and Elizabeth Lorenc Vimislik.

From an early age, Hank was known for his hard work and devotion to family, traits that would define his remarkable life. After graduating from North High School, Hank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957, later continuing his dedication through service in both the Air Force Reserves and Navy Reserves. During his 15 years in the Navy Reserves, Hank was actively deployed on an aircraft carrier during Desert Storm, exemplifying his commitment and courage.

Hank built an impressive 34 year career in the Military Defense Division at IBM. earning the respect of colleagues for his diligence and expertise. Retirement was not in his nature, he went on to serve the City Of Tucson for an additional 25 years, retiring at the age of 81.

While his career achievements were many, those who loved Hank will remember him best for his warmth and humor. His wonderful sense of humor brought light to every gathering, and his generosity touched lives of not only his immediate family but also his extended families. He was, above all, devoted to those he loved, providing support and care across the miles.

A man of many passions, Hank loved Cars and "Doodle Bugs," He also was a huge sports fan, particularly baseball and was a player throughout his life. He enjoyed watching football and UV Arizona baseball games. He found joy in simple pleasures, sharing his interests with friends and family. He was adored by all who met him, leaving a lasting imprint on countless hearts.

Hank is survived by his wife, Marveen, his daughter Sarah and the light of his life granddaughter Elizabeth. Hank's other children included Martin, Marcy, Steven (dec) Chuck and Michael. His extended family includes countless nieces, nephews and grandchildren. His siblings Jim (Anne dec), Rosemary Smith (Joe dec), Judy Glanville (Jim), Linda Junk (Jim), Tom (Patti) and Mike (Sue) He was preceded in death by his beloved parents.

We all loved Hank dearly. Although separated by distance, he always felt close in our hearts. His memory will live on in the stories, laughter and love he generously shared.
