Dear Koehler Family,

My condolences go to each of you in your time of grief and loss. Herb was a kind man and I know he will be missed greatly by his family.

As I reminisced recently with Spencer, I have many memories of Herb as a chauffeur. Tori (who I credit with my activation in the Church) always used to ask her dad if he would pick me up and take me with them on their way to primary, mutual or some other activity, saying "meet us at the corner." I remember many a time being crammed in their VW van with the Koehler family and friends as Herb drove us to Primary, Mutual, girls' camp, swimming, tubing, to a movie or vacationing in the sand dunes. Whatever the need, he was always the first to volunteer to drive the kids around and he never yelled or complained about the noise level as he drove; in fact he almost seemed to enjoy it, if possible, with all those roudy kids and teenagers in his van.

Herb served quietly and faithfully in all of his Church callings. He will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

Love,

Dear Faye & Family,
Sorry to hear of the passing of Herb. My memories go back to the organization of Cannon Stake in the 1950"s. Herb was one of the seven Presidents of the Seventy in the Cannon Stake. Seventies directed Stake Missionary work, back yard parties and games and usually steak fries. Also visits to the granite vaults on the Church micro film storage.

Dear Koehler Family:
May you be blessed with the spirit in knowing that Herb has just left for a short time to fullfill his duties. Where he will be with out pain and have the power to watch over his family and smile and listen to all of his beautiful children. Know that family is forever. Have faith and be strong. Time does heal the pain. You are in our thoughts and prayers, please let us know if we can do anything to help you. Love to all of you Greg and Tina Koehler- Son & daughter in-law of L. Edward Koehler.
