Elaine,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember your dad as a pioneer of diving and his dive shop an icon here back in the good old days. He certified a life long friend of mine just a month or two before I met him. We used to rent snorkle gear from his shop and explore the inlet in a rental boat.

My condolences to the Ellis family for their loss of Herb. I worked for Herb before and after my Army service. He taught me a lot about everything including diving. An interesting person he was. He will be missed.

Truly a dynamic individual, Uncle Herb influenced many people's lives by introducing them to the wonder of diving below the surface of springs,caves, oceans, lakes, or any water body. If it was there, Herb was going in. He left us all with many great memories. I will never forget his laugh.

GPH - I will never forget the "stories" you told that i was never really sure were stories or jokes until the very end when you would wait and look at me with this half grin to see if i was falling for yet another joke!! I still remember the whale joke even though everytime we were together i told you i couldnt remember it so that you would say it again because i liked the way you told it best!
Jason still thinks of you every time he makes new recruits do grass drills and thinks often of the fact that you were trained at the same post he now trains new soldiers!
Ava keeps her blacky bear rug with her always and when i told her you werent here anymore she cheered and said "Yay PPH is FREE!!" Its amazing to see a child's view because in our time of sadness she has the truest view of joy for what should be celebrated, the fact that you are now HOME and have no more pain.
We love you and will miss you always!!!

On behalf of the Week's family, our prayers and thoughts for the Ellis family for your loss. Herb's Dive Shop was a place where diving for me started and I went there frequently. Small world as in the future Elaine Shafer would become such a wonderful friend for so many years now. In your loss have peace, as Herb is with the Lord.

My deepest condolences to the family. I remember Mr. Ellis quiet well.

Daddy - you may no longer be here physically but you will live on in our hearts forever. You left us with many stories to share over the years to come. My heart if comforted knowing that you're finally at peace.
