Herbert Fried, age 91, beloved husband of the late Frieda (nee Jacobs). Loving father of Donna (Dr. Earl) Barron, Dr. N. Elizabeth (Doug Fuller) Fried and Dr. Marc (Elizabeth) Fried. Devoted grandfatherof Julia ( Dr.David) Steiner, Diana Levy, Dr. Dr. Joel Barron, Amanda (Ross) Owen, Nathaniel and Lauren Fried. Great grandfather of Jacob, Ben, Charlie, Gabriel, Sara, Victoria and Talia. Dear brother of the late Harald and friend of the late Dorothy Duchon. Graveside services will be held Sunday November 25 at 10AM at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the residence of Elizabeth and Marc Fried, 6467 Laura Ln., Solon SUNDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 8PM, MONDAY EVENING 7-9PM. Friends who wish may contribute to the Holocaust Survivors Fund c/o The Jewish Federation of Cleveland 25701 Science Pk. Dr., Beachwood, Ohio 44122.

We just found out 8/3/2013 about Herb's passing and were very sorry to hear it. We were friends of Dorothy Duchon and met him through her. He was a very nice person and a terrific companion to Dorothy.

Marc and family. so very sad to hear of your loss. Take comfort in knowing how extraordinary it is for to have been able to share so many years together with him. He lived to see grandchildren and success for his children. what more could any of us ask.
