The Childhood family of...
Herbert, Herb, Herbie, or Carl, is colossal, widespread and extended with noteworthy layers.
-He loved and was loved.
His "heart" is the root foundation and is a treasure for all who loved him. There will be numerous versions of him through the lens of others.
-His journey was his to own
Losing a parent, a partner or a child is unquestionably heart crushing -Loosing a sibling has multiple layers of complexities and is understated in our society. Notably today, with misalignment on the rise in families.
No matter how you cut it, most often our siblings are the ones beside us during our raising. Along, with cousins too.
-Whether with memorable and laughable moments and/or multifaceted tragedies with or without solidarity. With mutual effort and well being they will share and evolve with us, throughout.
It is said,
When you lose a parent, you lose your past.
When you lose a child you lose your future.
When you lose a sibling, you lose your -past, present and future.
So long brother...

My brother was a very kind hearted man. Mother had 7 of us kids, myself being the oldest and Herb was next to the last of us. So I helped care for him in his youngest childhood years until he was 10 years old. I will miss our phone conversations and hearing him say, I love you too. May your good soul rest in peace and forever more.

He was an awesome man, I didn't know him that well. But he has a loving family that loves him very much. Good night my friend.
