Dear Tom and the entire Ooms family,

Deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Tom--I know you told me when we spoke that you were going to take time off to help your dad recoup, yet I had absolutely no idea he was terminally ill. May God bless and comfort you all and ease your pain during this difficult time.

My sympathy is extended to the family of Herbert Ooms. I met him several times when he and his wife were visiting Bev and family in Overland Park, KS. I last saw him in July 2010 at his granddaughter, Rachel's, wedding to Tim. Bev has been a close, close friend of mine for many years.
