HERCULES R. ROY

FORT KENT - Hercules R. Roy, 83, died peacefully June 27, 2012, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born July 3, 1928, in Frenchville, the son of Eddie and Guerty (Vaillancourt) Roy. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the service Hercules worked 44 years for Bangor and Aroostook Railroad as station agent. He was past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Lozier O'Grady Post No. 9609 and American Legion Martin-Klein Post No. 0133, both of Fort Kent. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen (Daigle) Roy of Fort Kent; two sons, Jim and his wife, Donna Roy, of North Yarmouth and Mark and his wife, Ruth Roy, of Fort Kent; two daughters, Karen Roy of Keeseville, N.Y., and Elaine and her husband, Mike Nadeau, of Fort Kent; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline Bourgoin of Madawaska and Jeannine Corriveau of Frenchville. In addition to his parents, Hercules was predeceased by an infant son, Johnathan; son, Ken Roy, in 2006; one brother, Herman Roy; and three sisters, Anne Willington, Renee Mims and Joan Guerette. In following with the families wishes, a private graveside service will be held at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Services are in the care of Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
