I was sad to hear of Herman's death. My condolences to so many of you that I taught at Arras from 1950 to 1952. My memories of those two years are always so pleasant. Herman was in grade one along with Werner and Gene.

Our condolences to the Niekamp family! Lorna and I wish we could be there for the celebration of Hermans life tommorow. Herman was the greatest and kindest neighbors, always the first to lend a hand to anyone! I have fond memories of Herman and our school days together, such as -walking home from school, using an aspen branch to switch away the mosquitoes and munching on chokecherries,-- I was always amazed at how he could look into the sun and make himself sneeze and I could'nt! -- I envied his patient way of farming and how he made the straightest rows seeding and cultivating! All said Herman made the world a better place! God bless him and the Niekamp family. Lorna and Werner Yungmann and family

To the Niekamp family and friends of Herman. I send my thoughts and prayers to you all. I was surprised to learn of Hermans passing. He is at peace in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and his loved ones that went on before him and now embrace him. We miss and yearn to have them with us still, but are we being selfish, we want only the very best for them. To Yvonne I know you loved him dearly and will miss him everyday, he is still with you and everyone in your heart and when you feel a hand on your shoulder and feel warmth and love flow through your body, it will be Herman sending his love and telling you he is okay and not for you to worry.
GOD Bless you all in this pain full time.
