It's hard to imagine what tourism would be in Pinellas County without Bud - remembering this gentle man on the anniversary of his passing, we will miss you forever, Bud.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Bud in the Travel Industry in the 70's & 80's - he was a terrific Ambassador for Pinellas County Tourism. His professionalism, kindness, and love for his family will continue to be an inspiration for me. I will always remember his warm smile. My deepest sympathy to Jennie and family. He was so very proud of you all!

To us Bud was a fine gentleman and a wonderful friend. He was always kind and gentle and helped us in many ways when we started to represent St.Petersburg/Clearwater in Germany. We shall not forget you. Auf Wiedersehen Barbara and Hans Guenter Beckers, Frankfurt, Germany

Mrs. Zipin, Judy, and Lynn; I am so sorry for your loss. Bud was a great father figure for me and always treated me like I was his son and part of your family even though I was a troubled youth. He took me places with the girls and showed me what being a family was all about. He planted a seed in my young heart and it helped me become the man I am today. I am very thankful for that. I will always remember him as a father figure that I did not have. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with all of you. Bud, I know your soul is resting with our LORD now, rest my friend.

May the love of family and friends help you through this most difficult time. Bud will be remembered by many as a kind, generous and friendly man. He was a stellar businessman and so loved Jennie, his girls and grandchildren. My prayers are with you for the difficult days ahead and I have fond memories of our family gatherings.

Jen, Lynne, Judy, & grandchildren,
As you know, I'm deeply sadened by by Bud's passing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother-in-law. He always tried to help anyone out that he could. He was also wonderful to my parents. He was a real gentleman. When they came to Fla. he treated them to tours that they enjoyed. He loved his girls dearly. There wans't anything the wouldn't do to make them happy. I didn't see him very much but I will miss him talking to me when ever I called your home. I will remember him in my prayers, and you too Jen.

Love, Josie

I remember my first trip to World Travel Market in the late 1980's and Bud being there and taking the time to talk to me - a newcomer and youngster back then. He was a pioneer for Discover Florida's Suncoast and he paved the way for visitors from the UK and GE who still enjoy this destination today. Thank you Bud Zipin for your tourism legacy. Heartfelt sympathy to his family & friends.

To Bud's Family and Friends, I came to know Bud when I went to work for the City of St. Pete Beach in 1985. He was a kind man and full of life, he always helped out with the City Employees Summer Picnic that we held for many years at the Colonial Inn. Oh the fun memories we all have of the Inn and Bud's hospitality. I also spend my wedding night at the Colonial Inn. On behalf of the City Employees of St Pete Beach, I wish to send our condolences to you and let you know that "Bud" Zipin was our friend. May God heal your pain.

Bud lived next door to my husband and I . We moved here 5 years ago from NY and as soon as we met the family we knew we were living next to 2 of the kindest sincere people we would want to live next to. They made us feel right at home. I admired him so much when he was outside with his grandchildren. Such a dedicated grandfather, father and husband

Bud was the type person that always had a story, suggestion and a smile. Did I say smile with those stories? A founding father of tourism in my eyes-indeed. Bud will be remembered always and our hearts are open to Bud's family at this time. Our hope is that you have some comfort knowing his contribution to his friends, family, community and country were great in so many ways.

Bud was a real champion of Pinellas County and FL tourism in general. He was one of the fist people to offer me a helping hand while I was just starting my tourism travels and career back in the 80's. Bud will be warmly missed. My condolences & prayers to his beautiful wife, Jennie and their family.

Bud was a treasure of a man. He was a mentor and a friend to both of us. His contributions during his life as a military serviceman to his long career in tourism and public service on organizations and boards such as Tourist Development Council will never be forgotten.
Our sincere sympathy to the love of his life, Jennie, and his daughters and families. Bud indeed will be missed.
