Hilda was one of seven children and the 3rd child of the late Rehmet and Anand Masih of Jabalpur, India. She was trained as a registered nurse at Elgin Hospital, Jabalpur, MP, India. She worked at hospitals in Jabalpur and Nagpur, India before moving to Dallas TX in April 1972 accompanied by her husband David and three small children, Cecil, Ajay and Neena. Hilda worked at Presbyterian Hospital from 1972 to 1973 and Parkland Hospital from 1973 to 1995, at which time she retired. She joined Northminster Church in 1974, and when that congregation merged with Colonial Church to form Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church in 1999, Hilda became a member of that church. Hilda is survived by her loving husband, David Joseph Dass. Her children include: son Cecil and daughter-in-law Ashita Dass of Dallas; son Ajay and daughter-in-law Natalie of Sydney, Australia; daughter Neena and son-in-law Daniel Campbell; and two grandsons, Christopher and Andrew Dass. She is also survived by three sisters: Sulochna Millicans of New Delhi India; Olivia Masih White and husband Terry L. White of Cape Cod, MA; and Phulmani Banijwadker of Pune, India; and a brother, Vijay Kumar Masih and wife Eva Shalini Masih of Dallas, TX. Along with her siblings, she is survived by several nieces and nephews Dallas and in India. The Dass family wishes to thank everyone for their kind expression of sympathy. SERVICE: The funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at 10 am at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home 2925 5th Street, Sachse, TX 75048 (972-414-5050). The viewing will take place Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the Charles Smith funeral home in Sachse. In lieu of flowers memorial gift can be sent to Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia Rd, Dallas, Texas 75238.
