Happy, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful person. I work at High Point Regional Hospital for 24 years and saw your mom often. You and I were friend at High Point Central High School. I would love to hear from you.

My condolences to you on the loss of your Mother. The loss of anyone is difficult, particularly a parent. Cherish the good memories. Happy and I were in high school and band together. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the service Saturday, but wanted to let you know I remember both your parents fondly.

On behalf of my mother, Kathleen Horne Marshall, condolences to the family. Mother stated she always admired Hilda and that's not something she says about many.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hilda when she was a young 95 years old. I've seen her several times since, and that rare sense of humor never left her. With that wonderful twinkle her eye, I still remember her telling me that, at 95, one doesn't buy green bananas. And when I last saw her last summer, enjoying the camaraderie of a homemade ice cream get-together, that humor had not dimmed. I shall miss her but will savor the memories of time spent with her.

On July, 1960 I first met Hilda. She and I were recruits for the North Carolina Probation Commission along with eight others. We brought the total nuimber of officers to fifty-nine. I realized that Hilda was special and if you need to get the facts you would go to her.
I wish the best forthe family.

There are no words to express how I feel today on the lost of my dear friend. We had a special friendship that was just between us two. I was the tall one and her the short, but she towered above me in the way that she loved people. That was our connection. We both loved people. We both felt that giving of yourself is the greatest gift. Will miss you my dear friend.

I live abroad and read my hometown paper daily and even though I have never met Mrs. Fountain I can only hope I live as long and accomplish half as much to be the person she was..... Her legacy lives in the proud accomplishments she achieved in her life... What a inspiration... What a role model. My sincere sympathy for your family
