Seifert, Hilda

Hilda T. Seifert, age 97, passed away peacefully on July 26, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born on May 20, 1917, in West Allis, the twin daughter of John and Mary Balogh. She married Walter W. Seifert who preceded her in death on December 22, 2006. They raised three children: James, Rosemary, and Ronald in Menomonee Falls. The whole family would spend their summers & winters at Lake Nemabin near Delafield. Hilda was an enthusiastic Brewers and Packers fan, she loved her flower gardens, enjoyed needlework, was an avid reader, loved her card games with relatives and friends, and loved to cook and bake. She attended Catholic mass at Bethel Home.

She is survived by her children, James (Linda) Seifert, Rosemary (Peter) Eiden; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Seifert; grandchildren, Robert (Angela) Seifert, Daniel (Dawn) Seifert, Erin (Paul) Romagna, Eric Seifert, Michael (fiancée, Jessica) Seifert, Ashley (Daniel) Shafer; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, John Balogh and Leona (Carl) Braunreiter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Ronald; brother, Ervin; and sister-in-law, Edith. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095. The Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up for the Environmental Protection Agency.
